About a month ago, while I was searching for some material that would be useful to my students to come closer to their target groups in terms of taste and lifestyle, and at the beginning of their new collection assignment, I found Vintage Couture, a great website that offers variety of vintage clothing items and accessories. There are both ready-to-wear and #couture pieces, stunning accessories and quite a large list of designers and fashion houses/brands (Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Chanel, Christian Dior, Claire McCardell, Issey Miyake, to name a few). It’s a difficult task to pinpoint my personal favorites, but here are some of the outstanding pieces: the 1990's Anne Demeulemeester black crepe convertible draped cocktail dress, pre 1957 Christian Dior beige silk robe du soir, 1970's Chanel Couture suit, etc. You can visit the site, follow their Instagram profile and other social-networking profiles for constant updates.
